Therapeutic mud

Therapeutic mud obtained from peat deposit is characterised by a high content of active ingredients, which results in its high therapeutic value.

Uzdrowisko Świeradów-Czerniawa Sp. z o. o. – Grupa PGU uses therapeutic mud for baths and compresses. It is mainly recommended for the treatment of degenerative processes of joints and articular cartilages, in post-traumatic conditions of joints, bones, periosteum and muscles, as well as in chronic diseases of the digestive system and female diseases.

Therapeutic mud

Therapeutic mud is a biologically active type of peat (non-dehydrated therapeutic peat) with specific physicochemical properties. Furthermore, it is characterized by a high degree of swamp vegetation decomposition and it is used in the form of therapeutic baths in rheumatic diseases, female diseases and blood vessel diseases. Moreover, therapeutic mud is also used for the manufacture of various types of medication and cosmetics.
Organic acids and salts contained in therapeutic mud ensure its anti-inflammatory, astringent, bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties. Prior to its use for the treatments, therapeutic mud is prepared in a proper manner.

Effects

Other effects of baths in therapeutic mud suspension include: stimulation of blood circulation, acceleration of pulse and breathing, reddening of skin, temporary increase in blood pressure, acceleration of metabolic processes, as well as anti-inflammatory influence of therapeutic mud components.
