MINERAL WATER

Mineral water

Exceptional mineral springs, which have been known since the 17th century, contain sorrels with high content of carbon dioxide (the richest in Lower Silesia), which improve the circulatory system and the nervous system, as well as revitalise our body. They are recommended not only in peripheral circulatory disorders (limb ischemia) or central circulatory disorders (hypertension, post-heart attack conditions, post-stroke conditions after six months after the incident), but above all, as a preventive measure. At least once a week, it’s really worth it to subject our body - which is exhausted by hard physical or mental work - to a regenerating mineral bath in the Rehabilitation and Rheumatology Centre in Goplana.

Mineral water

The waters used in the Health Resort originate from our own boreholes. They are low-mineralised, bicarbonate-calcium-magnesium sorrels with the contents of iron, fluorine and radon of the following composition:

  • cations (calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, iron);
  • anions (bicarbonates, fluorides, chlorides);
  • non-dissociated components - metasilicic acid;
  • gas components - free carbon dioxide, radon

Properties

Furthermore, the waters from Świeradów also contain magnesium. There is a different quantitative composition of anion and cation components in individual boreholes, therefore the name of a given water is determined based on the highest content of active minerals included in it. Our Health Resort is the only one with the right to extract these waters. The waters used in the Świeradów-Czerniawa Health Resort originate from our own boreholes. They are low-mineralised, bicarbonate-calcium-magnesium sorrels with the contents of iron, fluorine and radon.

Properties

Effects

These waters cause the so-called “external effect”, which contributes to the dilation of skin vessels, as well as “internal effect” that results in reduction of muscle tension, calming, decrease in blood pressure and slowing down of the heart rate. Waters with the addition of radon are characterised by a therapeutic effect via stimulating the endocrine system. Drinking mineral water increases the secretion of gastric acids, as well as stimulates the digestive tract and reduces sugar level in the serum. Furthermore, the waters from Świeradów also contain magnesium, therefore they have a positive effect on the heart function. They are applied in the form of baths, inhalation, compresses and irrigation.
